Peace in the Midst

13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark. 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

1 Peter 5:13-14

Peter ends his first letter with greetings from others and an admonition to care for one another. His final words are that of a blessing for peace. Those who were being persecuted needed peace.

So do we.

We all need peace in the midst of everything going on in the world.

That peace does not come easily or lightly. The frustrations of sideways relationships, the stresses of the economy and inflation, political turmoil, and a host of other scenarios seek to undermine our peace.

Fortunately, the Prince of Peace is our only hope for lasting, eternal, and everyday peace.
