10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:10

It’s an interesting title, isn’t it, People of God.

Not everyone can say that. Not everyone would want to say that, but we can and do.

So, what does it mean to be people of God? It means we have received mercy, and we know we’ve received mercy.

Again, the world can’t claim that gift even though God has shown them the same mercy.

But what’s a gift if you can’t share it with others?

Show mercy with someone today.

Each act of mercy will be different, but someone around you needs to be shown mercy. Don’t guilt them, condemn them, or ridicule.

Just show mercy.
