[Pursue] endurance 1 Timothy 6:11e
We’re in this for the long haul and we all know that. But what does it have to do with the other attributes we’ve been talking about?
Endurance is being able to push through the pain, so to speak, to endure when eveything around you is looking bleak and worrisome. It’s being able to press on when it seems like you’re the only one standing up for the truth, and when others are ridiculing you for doing the same.
Endurance isn’t something we pursue, per se, but it’s merely hanging in there until “help” arrives. Help can come in the form of other like-minded people who can encourage and pray with you. But most likely, the help is from the Lord Himself. He gives us that strength to go forward. He enables us to endure despite how bad it looks.
He is our everpresent Help in time of need. Psalm 46:1-2
