Prince of Peace

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

We all attribute this title to the baby born of Mary. In fact, “Peace” is often the answer given by politicians when asked what they want as a Christmas present.

You see, they have everything they want materially but they recognize that peace is fleeting, like water slipping through their fingers. Treaties don’t last and promises are broken. They realize there is much strife in the world.

Without saying it, these politicians acknowledge that there is a great need for the Prince of Peace to make things right, to calm the raging storms of war and strife in life, and ultimately to bring peace to the hearts of men, women, and children throughout the world.

Pray this season that the Prince of Peace will work wonders in the hearts of those you are in contact with.
