11 They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

1 Peter 3:11-12

Those who love life also pursue peace. Peace in this sense is not the absence of war, but the inner calmness that whatever happens, God is still in control. That includes all the evil, turmoil, chaos, unrest, and violence all around us.

That man of peace will also pray in the midst of what is going on around him, and God will hear him.

God wants to give us His peace every day, whether we have turmoil or not. He wants us to know that He’s in complete control of everything we see, hear, and feel.

Nothing escapes the Lord, nothing.
