9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Titus 3:9
This goes back to the phrase in Ephesians 5:17 – “redeeming the time for the days are evil.” In other words, make the best use of your time because time is valuable. Why waste time on arguments that are meaningless and probably unpersuasive. That argument could also be used against time-wasting and unproductive internet, television, or other activities if they are overused.
Have you ever kept an account of what you do from hour to hour? I’ve never done it myself, but I would probably be shocked at how much time I waste throughout the day.
Give your calendar and each part or the day to God. Keep a journal and prepare to be shocked at the end of the week.
