31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works—
32 he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke. Psalm 104:31-32
It’s an interesting thought: the Lord rejoicing in His works.
It’s like an artist perfecting her painting, stepping back, and then smiling in complete satisfaction.
He rejoices in sunrises and sunsets, millions of varieties of the animal kingdom, huge range distinct weather patterns, snow-covered mountains, ocean views and beaches, wide-open deserts, vast expanses of a night sky, and His greatest work of all – us.
I know that sounds conceited, but the truth is Jesus did not come to the earth for all of those wonderful works listed above. And they are spectacular!
No, He came to atone for our sins.
He came for us.
Ponder that thought as you also remember that He rejoices in his works – us.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Praise the Lord.
