17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18 Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. Psalm 80:17-18

Asaph probably didn’t realize it at the time but he gave us a messianic prophecy with these lyrics. God’s hand did rest on the Son, and millions call this “son of man” Messiah today. Verse 17 is one of well over 300 messianic prophecies that were fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ.

Today, I pray – as Asaph prayed – revive us, O Lord. Let us continue to call on your name.
