Same Boat!

47 Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity! Psalm 89:47

How many times have you heard the phrase “life’s too short?” someone usually says it when they don’t want to bother with a seemingly minor disagreement with someone else. The intended meaning is, “I don’t have time in my life to worry about petty issues. I have to make the best use of my time that is humanly possible!”

And yet we find ourselves dabbling in pursuits and activities that waste valuable time. This will become even more apparent as we approach the new year. We look back and ask where it all went.

Here’s my challenge for you for the upcoming year: audit your spare time on occasion. Examine what you’re doing and how long you’re doing it. You’ll be amazed (and embarrassed) at the amount of time that could have been spent doing something more constructive. The next time you go to do those things, you may think twice.
