Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:2
The word picture once again and throughout the Psalms has been one of an impenetrable fortress. Try as the enemy might to bring the fortress down, it has been built to withstand the worst that the enemy could send its way.
As I look out my apartment window I see people running around, trying to make sense of this life. They flutter about here and there, hoping to get peace and security in a very shaky world. They get rocked by a divorce, unemployment, a death in the family, or any of the millions of trials that come their way. Their ground is unstable and unreliable. They need the security of a rock solid fortress.
If we have been consistent with our testimony and our walk with Christ, they will be able to find that fortress fairly easily. This is when all the sacrifices you made to make sure you were consistent will pay off.
As I’ve said in this space over and over again, people are watching. They want the real deal. When their chips are down, they’ll find you.
Continue to stand firm on the Rock of our Salvation.
