A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing. Proverbs 20:4
Throughout Scriptures, God uses farming illustrations to prove very similar points: plowing, reaping, and harvesting are all necessary duties of the wise and Godly man. Plow the hard ground to soften it, scatter more seeds than is needed, wait, then reap the harvest.
Apply the principle to relationships, to marriage, to work, to your family, even to strangers. After we’ve established relationships we throw seeds all around, seeds of the Gospel, seeds of encouragement, seeds of positive reinforcements. Later those seeds will take root, and you will see a pleasant harvest. Keep planting all kinds of positive and Godly seeds.
