The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. Proverbs 22:3

Have you ever continued on a destructive path when you know that it couldn’t possibly end well? Of course we all have but why? Why do we take these unnecessary risks? In these instances we are the “simple” the verse talks about. We know better but we don’t do better. The thing is, we see this type of behavior in others and shake our heads but don’t recognize the behavior in ourselves as been so outlandish.

There are times, however, that you cannot take refuge. Case in point is what is happening right now in Egypt. The Coptic Church was attacked and Christians tried to defend themselves. As of when I write this 34 are dead. Pray for the church in Egypt as they go through these tumultuous times. Pray that God will protect those who are fighting for their very lives. Pray that Believers will be able to find refuge when they need it.
