Self-Propagating Nature

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. Genesis 1:11-13

Fruits and trees and vegetation were all designed by God. The earth would not be complete without vegetation. And with it came all of the biological processes inherent in growing vegetation such as photosynthesis. Everything was meticulously planned because there is such order to the plant world today. For instance, many plant seeds are spread when the wind blows. Nature self-propagates.

None of this is new to us of course. Sometimes, though, we just need to take a step back and observe the simpler things in life. We take a lot for granted every day: clean air and water, plenty of food.

Stand in awe before God every day.

Marvel at His creation.

Thank Him for it.

Delight in His presence.
