5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:5-6
These are verses we rarely think about but they teem with truth and encouragement. It encourages us because sometimes we just need affirmation that what we’ve been doing and what we believe is meaningful.
We get caught up in the nitty gritty of life and forget that our actions and beliefs are a result of a longstanding faith in Christ. What we do may even be rote, but the fact remains, you and I will be rewarded for our faith.
Another thing to consider with verse five is committing things to the Lord. You have a test, tough relationship, employment interview, speech to give in front of thousands? Commit it to God, and watch Him bless.
There is great comfort in letting God be in charge of our affairs. The challenge, though, is to actually let God work in those situations.
