God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Psalm 68:6
One of the more neglected groups of people within the Church is that of Singles. I remember more than 25 years ago the love and hospitality that many Christians shared with me while I was still single. I also remember some of the isolation and exclusion I felt back then. Even though we’re more “connected” digitally today (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc), we are perhaps less connected in a face to face manner.
Single Christians are a part of the family of God as much as families are. Many are tireless in their service, and work without complaining.
This weekend as Easter approaches, reach out to a single Believer you know. Find out what’s going on in his/her life. Commit to praying. I’m certain you’ll be glad you did.
