So, Who?

6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Psalm 85:6

I first read this and chuckled. It’s as if the psalm writer is trying to bargain with the Lord. It comes across as a slightly arrogant statement: “Don’t you see what you’re missing by not blessing us? We could seriously bring joy to you!”

But the intent of this passage is different, especially if you read it in context. It’s a plea on behalf of the Israelites.

Who are you pleading for? Every person should have at least one person praying for them. Life just goes better that way.

So who are you praying for?
