She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Proverbs 31:26

In my mind’s eye, I picture the Proverbs 31 woman who listens a lot and only speaks when she has something important to say. She soaks in the wisdom and counsel from those around her, then offers her thoughts after carefully thinking it through.

Scripture tells us that “she speaks with wisdom,” and one very important way wisdom comes to people is from seeking counsel from the LORD regularly and often. As we’ve seen elsewhere above, this Scripture is applicable to all of us, young and old, male or female. We need wisdom when we speak, and God doles out that wisdom liberally. How do we get it?

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
