long ago; he brings salvation on the earth. Psalm 74:12
The day I wrote this, the United States Supreme Court interpreted the U.S. Constitution to require all states to license and recognize same-sex “marriage“. Many people who take a traditional view of the Bible and marriage in general believe this to be a slap in the face. Unfortunately it’s not the last we’ll hear about this issue. While I rarely talk about politics in this space, sometimes the issue is so large that it warrants a few words.
The Bible is clear that homosexual behavior as well as relations outside the marriage bed is sinful (Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Timothy 1:10). It is a perversion of something that God called pure (Hebrews 13:4). It is immoral, unnatural, and profane. Now, I realize that nothing I say in this little blog will change the minds of those who are in favor of this activity.
I will say this, though, God will not be mocked. This decision did not take Him by surprise nor is He wringing His hands over it. He’s still on the throne watching out over the world. We are still to be light and beacons to the darkening world; that has not changed. What has changed, though, is this: the demands of the homosexual lobby and the media on the Church will be great. Dissenting Justices Scalia, Alito, Thomas, and Roberts noted that religious liberties will be affected by the decision.
Still, though, we are called to be salt and light. We will have some very tough decisions to make as Believers in the very near future.
But.
But God is my King from long ago; he brings salvation on the earth.

Very well summed up! Sad that we, as Christians, can’t seem to organize and unite like the gays do!
very good read – it is getting increasingly harder to steer clear of politics unfortunately – I thinks it’s because the time for Jesus to return is at hand!
