5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.

The old adage, “there’s strength in numbers” is not always true especially in things and events related to God. You could have all the world’s military aligned against God and they’d still lose.

The forces of evil in this world are strong and relentless. “They” push you to do things you don’t want to do. “They” mock you as an extremist, hateful, and strange if you don’t accept the ideas they accept.

Fortunately the power of God in us is greater than anything those forces of evil can send our way. It may seem like your back’s up against the wall and you’re against all odds, but God is right there with you.

That is so easy to write when I’m not in the midst of such turmoil and agony. Some of you reading this may be in this situation. Know that God will – some how and in some way – pull you through to the end. The darkness you’re seeing will soon be followed by His glorious light. Have faith that God is watching over you. Know that He loves and cares for you.
