Depending on how you look at it, David was stubborn or tenacious, bull-headed or thick-headed. It’s a good character quality to have if you’re facing down evil. It’s also a great trait to have if you go on the foreign mission field.

There are a 1001 things that stand in your way to being effective as a missionary. Having tenacity in the face of all of those obstacles is essential.

Perhaps you know a missionary family or two. Pray for them, and then let them know you did that.
