Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but from the strength of an ox comes an abundant harvest. Proverbs 14:4
I love clean stuff. It’s a sign to me of a well-ordered life. But I also realize that life isn’t always about being the cleanest or most orderly. In short, stuff happens to mess it up.
Ministering to people is messy. Your schedule gets thrown out of kilter; your orderly life is chaotic, and often you don’t know when all the insanity will end.
Many reading this are in this situation. You get discouraged at the lack of time to yourself or your immediate family. You get discouraged at the slow progress being made in the ministry.
Cheer up! It will end. You’ll get your sanity back and life will be just grand, that is, until you decide to do more ministry to people with messed up lives.
