A wise man fears the LORD and shuns evil, but a fool is hotheaded and reckless. Proverb 14:16

Most of us know hotheads in our lives. These people “fly off the handle” when something sets them off, and often it is a minor issue. The Bible calls them reckless because it’s no telling what they will say or do when they are angry.

All of us have our mini-fits of rage and anger from time to time. We usually know when we’ve crossed the line between getting upset and becoming angry. We don’t think straight when we become angry. Actually we can become very selfish (and it’s often the reason for our anger).

Our emotions, good and bad, need to be turned over to the Lord. We’re in a battle, and the enemy would like nothing more than to inflict damage based on how we react to even small incidents.
