2 To Timothy my true son in the faith:

Paul opened his letter to his good friend Timothy with a standard greeting. Most of what Timothy knew about the faith he learned from his mentor Paul. I’m sure they laughed and cried together, joked around, went toe to toe with each other on issues, and preached the Good News to many people together. Simply put, they needed each other.

It’s a reason why husbands and wives stay together so long. They need each other. They have a “safe” place to be when no one else is watching. They can toss ideas around without worrying if it sounds silly or not. Yes, they too argue and fight, but they still need each other.

Today, pray for your spouse, the person who stands by you every day. Pray that God will continue to bless. Ask what you can do to make their burdens lighter, and you’ll be surprised at the answer. Do something special for that person today.
