But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Isaiah 59:2
God loves clean hands and a pure heart. He loves those who are able to ‘fess up’ to what they have done. Often that takes place as you are coming to Him.
This verse, though, is referring to those who do not yet have a relationship with God. That separation – that division – is clear and distinct.
And that’s exactly why Jesus came to this planet, so He could tear down that wall of separation, so that those who couldn’t be heard could be heard.
He made it easy for us, but at a great cost to Him. We shouldn’t take it lightly.
