The Decisions We Make

A foolish son brings grief to his father and bitterness to the one who bore him. Proverbs 17:25

Almost daily we hear stories of children gone awry. We sometimes even hear the parents of those children and the anguish they go through because of those children. Ultimately, no one can predict how a child will turn out even if he or she comes from great homes. In the end the children make life-altering mistakes and must pay the consequences for it.

We also make foolish decisions that probably grieve Our Heavenly Father. Daily we must pray for wisdom to make Godly choices. Left on our own, we will undoubtedly make unwise choices. But as we draw near to God, asking for His wisdom, the decisions we make will be much closer to His will than to our own.
