who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3
What are all the benefits that King David alluded to? Perhaps the most significant of the lot is the forgiveness of sins.
As I mentioned earlier this week, David knew first hand about the forgiveness of sins. He knew what it meant to be restored to God. Though his family suffered because of David’s sins, God still walked with David. David was, according to the book of Acts “a man after God’s own heart”
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.” Acts 13:22
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people,1 Samuel 13:14
And yet, the great sinner was forgiven by God.
I don’t need to know much in life but I need to know this. I need to know that my sins are forgiven.
If I knew nothing else in life, I would be content with that seemingly small bit of information.
