For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Not only was a son prophesied, but how he would reign is also mentioned: ‘the government will be on his shoulders.’ And it is.

His reign exists today. You and I are subjects of that Kingdom!

Imagine, if you would, an incredibly wise and faithful judge. He judges rightly and swiftly, and is able to multi-task on behalf of 6 billion people.

And yet we only see a glimpse of that Kingdom and of our fellow subjects. In theory we know that millions and millions of fellow believers exist and have existed through the years, but we don’t give it much thought.

When you hear of fellow believers suffering for their faith, rejoice in your Brotherhood, and pray for them. When you hear of them triumphing over the evil one, rejoice.
