Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” Matthew 6:9
Letting the father know He is honored and revered should be a regular act of every Christian. He’s got 7 billion people in the world to “worry” about, governments that are completely out of control and dangerous to the people they rule over, the vast universe under His control, and He has time for each of us. He has time to hear us, bless us, rebuke us, laugh with us, and warn us of impending dangers in our lives.
He is life sustaining, life-changing, all sufficient, omniscient, omnipresent, all patient, all encompassing, and all loving. What more can be said that hasn’t been said about God? Nothing, and yet we continue to revere Him and allow Him to take His rightful place in ourlives. We must, however, yield to Him constantly lest we think we have it all together.
Praise Him for He is worthy of praise, both now and forevermore. Amen.
