Whoever sows injustice reaps calamity, and the rod they wield in fury will be broken. Proverbs 22:8

Without a doubt there is a lot of injustice in the world. The newspapers and television stations occasionally run across such stories; the internet is full of them. To say that life isn’t fair is perhaps the understatement of a lifetime. We all know that bad people do bad things to people all the time and often get away with it. Where is the fairness in that?

Today as you contemplate these words, consider someone who has received some grave injustice against them. Pray for that person because chances are good that that person has the same questions asked above. Of course it’s not fair.

We do know that God will avenge and right the wrongs. That’s the only comfort I can give you; perhaps it’s the only comfort we ultimately need.
