Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16

There’s quite a bit of wisdom in getting together with one or two fellow believers and praying with them regularly. We tend to get isolated and turn inward especially since this covid junk took place.

We’re not made for isolation. We’re also not made to be party animals and on the go 24/7 either.

There’s a balance that each of us needs to make based on our personalities.

But we are made for each other. Many of us are going through the same struggles but we don’t know it because we’re isolated.

It only takes one person to change that, someone you can have coffee or dinner with, someone you can share your heart. You can’t just share your heart to everybody so those relationships take time.

Notice in this text, James talks about the powerful prayer of a righteous person. It’s not because the person has any magical powers but because the person is righteous. I suspect there’s more to the righteous life than we’ll ever know.
