1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. Psalm 131:1
When did life get so complicated?
When did we lose sight of simple, ordinary pleasures?
When did we stop thinking face to face relationships were important?
I’m a simple man. Yes, I live in a complex world that is getting more complicated every hour. There are forty apps on my smartphone and I only know how to use two or three!
Where’s it all going? Where are we headed? As we become more technically savvy, we seem to have fewer social interactions.
Take the time this weekend to call someone you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Reconnect with that person. Ask about their kids, grandkids, jobs, new hobbies, new ideas.
The simple life is the one where relationships are king. I think we’ve lost that notion somewhere along the line.
