The Tim Tebow Effect

The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise. Proverbs 27:21

By now you have heard the name Tim Tebow. Besides being a very good professional football player, he is known for his Christianity. When he does something noteworthy, he stops, bows his head and silently prays.

Of course he is mocked and ridiculed for what he does but he continues to do it anyway.

He’s got a good head on his shoulders and knows how to accept praise. Of course he’s the one making the great moves and plays on the field, but at his earliest moment he gives God the glory.

Tim Tebow gives us a timely reminder in how to accept praise.

  1. Smile.
  2. Say thanks.
  3. Give God the glory.
