12 With the help of Silas, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.

1 Peter 5:12

There are many graces in our lives, all examples of God’s unmerited favor: salvation, life, trials, overcoming those trials.

It’s easy to think that when we go through hardships that God has left us. On the contrary, it merely proves He cares for us and loves us. For without this grace, we would not know how to overcome, for it is by his grace – that unmerited favor – that we overcome.
