15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:13:15-16
Paul broke out into a song of praise here. Once again, we get a glimpse of eternity and heavenly things. We’re limited here by the temporal. We may have 20/20 vision but we see things “through a glass darkly” 1 Corinthians 13:12
For instance we know that there’s a spiritual world all around us. We don’t know how many or how they fight, but they exist.
Recently I read about a former Satanist who said he was powerless when Christians were praying against him. He certainly knew about the unseen spiritual world, and he knew some of his limitations.
Read through this Scripture again. In fact, read through the previous verse as well. Rejoice in its delightful words. Close your eyes and think about some of these names: immortal, Lord of lords, King of kings, blessed and only ruler, living in unapproachable light. Unfortunately we have to go back to living in this world…until that day.
Until that day!
13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
