This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. John 3:19-21

We all know people who have hated Believers for the sole reason that the Believer, by his/her actions, exposed the other person’s inner darkness. Innocent, gentle people are hated for what others think they believe. It happens all the time. It’s an unnatural or perhaps an abnormal hatred.

The Gospel Light is liberating and life-changing. Don’t underestimate it’s power as you roam this earth and are moving in His power. Don’t be surprised when others hate you because of your faith. Yes, it hurts and is painful, especially coming from people we care about. But fortunately our precedent is Jesus Christ, the perfect Son of God. They hated him to the point of death.

Expose the darkness whenever and wherever you can. The world certainly needs more light. But be forewarned: you won’t win popularity contests for doing it.
