Warning Against Idleness

6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 2 Thessalonians 3:6

Paul didn’t give these kinds of commands often, but this one is worth noting. This is wise even if you’re not a believer. In fact, I’ve heard motivational speakers to drop those who bring you down. Idle, divisive, and disobedience. These are people who stir up trouble among other believers. Perhaps they have their own mini-agenda or they just like controversy. Steer clear of them. Think about the church you attend. Does anybody there fit this description?

Of course the difficulty comes from those who are asking legitimate questions and seeking the truth. How to tell the difference? The Spirit of God will reveal impostors to you if you ask.
