Weakness and Grace

I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. Romans 14:14

The response to the previous day’s devotional isn’t to complain or whine about someone else’ so-called “weakness.” You see, we are all at different stages in our walk with Christ. We would be dishonest if we acknowledged anything less. It’s not right or wrong, but it’s different. Some may even be in what seems like a permanent state of weakness. To the point of the verse, if that person believes something is wrong (or unclean), then it would be wrong for that person to indulge or partake.

It is often very difficult for us to accept fellow Believers for where they are in their walk. At the same time, it’s difficult for us to see ourselves as others might see us.

The bottom line is this: the more grace we extend to others in where they are in life, the more grace others will extend to us.
