Do not slander a servant to their master, or they will curse you, and you will pay for it. Proverbs 30:10
The application in our society for this verse is simple: if you talk bad about a co-worker to your boss, it will come back to haunt you. How so? It’s just office gossip, and office gossip usually boomerangs around to the person fairly quickly. This also occurs in a church setting, or any other social setting. People are people no matter the setting.
Gossip is just not productive in any context. We’re slow to learn but fortunately the Lord will continue to hammer these anti-gossip verses into our thick skulls.
