Asaph wanted severe revenge on his enemies. It wasn’t enough for them to be defeated. It wasn’t enough for them to say “Uncle!”
Fortunately God doesn’t work like that. I say fortunately because how many times has someone ever wanted to see you stopped, and what would have happened if that request was answered.
Passion in the life of the Believer is good and necessary. Being able to channel that passion to something meaningful and worthwhile is skill that not everyone possesses.
