Where Did the Fear of the Lord Go?

7 It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry? Psalm 76:7

When I was a kid, I recall telling my friend an off color joke about a preacher. After I finished, Randy, the only person listening said this, “I’m not in good with the Man upstairs, but I’d be very careful about saying that kind of stuff.” In Randy’s own way he was exhibiting the Fear of the Lord even though it’s pretty fair to say that neither of us were Believers at the time.

Those kinds of incident are rare today. There is no Fear of God in the public arena. There’s no sense of right or wrong.

We need a revival in the land.

We need men, women, and children who know what it means to love and fear God.

We need to put Christ back in the public square.
