Why

23 He remembered us in our low estate
His love endures forever.
24 and freed us from our enemies.
His love endures forever.
25 He gives food to every creature.
His love endures forever.

26 Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever. Psalm 136:23-26

One of Mark Twain’s lesser known quotes is this: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

Have you had that “Aha!” moment yet? People search their entire lives to find it, and often it’s what they’ve been doing for the past 50 years. They rebelled against it for some reason and didn’t want to admit it even though it was staring them in the face.

Some don’t care to know what that reason is. In many parts of the world, getting food in the belly and a roof over the head is life’s primary concern.

Now, your reason for existence may be plain and simple, or it may be to change the world through the skills and talents He’s given you.

It’s interesting, though, that through all of this, God looks down and sees what we’re trying to do. He knows our strengths and weaknesses. He knows what we’re capable of.

Throughout our lives, He encourages us along the way and guides us where we need to go. . . if we let Him. If we desire, He could be involved in every aspect of our lives.

Whether you are out to change the world or just living your life one day at a time, God is watching over us and loving us because “his love endures forever.”
