With Eyes to See

But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. Psalm 63:11

David always returns to his favorite thing to do: praising God. Despite the running, hiding, and waiting he was forced to do, “at the end of the day” he rejoiced.

Are you rejoicing at the end of your days? When you lay your head on your pillow, are you rejoicing?

“What’s there to rejoice in,” you ask?

The song “Count Your Blessings” comes to mind.

There are always things to rejoice in. Sometimes it’s just a matter of looking for those little gems of goodness that are all around us. They exist if we have eyes to see them.

They exist if we WANT to see them.
