Work and family. These are two blessings of God mentioned by this psalm writer. Isn’t that interesting?
Even today I was lamenting job related issues. I think this blessing goes further than jobs. Throwing yourself into something, whether it brings income or not, is a great thing.
Being idle isn’t.
We see the trouble some extremely wealthy people cause when they lead idle lives. Even for the super wealthy, if they don’t throw themselves into something meaningful, they run the risk of being bored and troublesome. Even retirees run the risk of being too idle.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…Ecclesiastes 9:10
