She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. Proverbs 31:17

Great women work hard but it is merely one of the fine qualities listed in this chapter. It’s the quality that gets noticed a lot, but that’s not why they work so hard. She goes full speed until she conks out when she hits her pillow at night.

We can glean much from this verse because it has to do with what people call the “work ethic.” In a general sense, what that means is that work is not a thing to be dismissed or complained about. Instead it is something that should be celebrated and championed. We don’t see that often in men or women. But when we do, we notice it.

So, how’s your worth ethic? Do you put in your time, slack off during the day, and not give your company 100%? It’s quite easy to do.
