11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. 1 Corinthians 12:11

Paul reminded us that these gifts were gifts freely given to us by the Holy Spirit. They build up the Body of Christ. Each of us has different gifts, talents, and contributions to the Body of Christ. We shouldn’t criticize others if they don’t have the same gifts we have. Later in the New Testament Paul laid out quite a few more gifts that God gave to the Church, again to build up the Body.

When you step back and think about it, God gave us all the tools necessary to build thriving, motivated churches. As we work together with our gifts, what we can do as a church far exceeds our abilities as individuals, as God intended.

But we still have to work together as a team with a common goal.
