Zion

3 Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
4 “I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me—
Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush—and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’” Psalm 87:3-4

I make no apologies for being a strong supporter of the nation of Israel. Over the last 60+ years Israel has shown herself to be an oasis in the midst of strife and turmoil. The nation has prospered while those surrounding her have floundered. For being such a small land, it has produced world-renowned scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs. It is the only democratic country in the region. Its military is sharp and its intelligence against its neighbors is sharper still. It defends itself from rocket attacks regularly and is accused of starting skirmishes it never intended to be in.

Golda Meier said it best, “If Israel’s neighbors laid down their weapons there would be peace. If Israel laid down its weapons the nation would be annihilated.”

I am convinced that the nations that support Israel will be blessed, and those who oppose her will pay the consequences. Sadly, there are very few who support her.

Continue to pray for the tiny nation of Israel, that there would be peace within its walls.
